What will become of us in the absence of real struggle? Would we become a mere shell of who we could be? And if we are not strong/competent, what would we be? It is better to be in the state of becoming than a state of being. It is better to be struggling towards something than not doing anything at all. Wisdom illuminates the darkness. Working in the light counters the dark. Dark environments, dark thoughts, and darkness within your heart. The desperation to live a productive life. Difficulty is necessary for health. Don't take any short cuts. Don't take the easy way out, you owe it to yourself not to cheat yourself. What will become of us in the face of real struggle? Something good I'm sure. If we decide to face it.
